You know that I am French and that I’ve been in the UK for a year now.
However, I always feel the need to read about French news and I discover yesterday that if British people were very enthusiastic about Kate and Prince William wedding, this feeling was not shared by my Frenchies.

Here some comment (quickly translate) that I have found on “Libération” newspaper.

« Un baiser de l’extrême bout des lèvres bien pincées dénué d’amour et de sensualité made in Albion, ça ! »

“Such an uptight kiss deprived of love and sensuality”

« Ni dieux ni maitre, tous égaux, FRAAATTERNITTÈÈÈ !!….Ils se gavent sur la misère des autres c’est illogique mon capitaine !….Je préfère REVOTER POUR NOTRE me ROYAL ! »

“Neither gods nor masters, we are all equals, FRATERNITYYYYY!!…. They stuff themselves on others’ poverty, it is illogical my captain! (…)”

« Mais on s’en fout !!!!!!!!!!! »

“We don’t give a f@@@”

« Ce matin en faisant mes courses, j’ai croisé un clochard ou clodo, bref une espèce d’être humain qui fouille dans les poubelles pour se nourrir.  J’ai pensé à ce pauvre prince et cette princesse qui avec leur 40 millions ce payent un mariage au prix honteux. »

“This morning, I’ve seen a tramp that was searching for food in a public bin. Then, I thought of this poor prince and this princess with their wedding costing the shameful price of 40 million. “

«Bravo!! Pour ken and Barbie. »

“Bravo, for Ken and Barbie”

« 40 millions, ridicule! Honte @ eux»

“40 million, ridiculous, shame on them”

« Je ne les supporte pas Barbie et Ken »

«Can’t stand Barbie and Ken »

« Quelqu’un a vole la robe de Grace Kelly! »

“Somebody has stolen Grace Kelly’s wedding dress”

About frenchychic

Born and raised in Paris, I am a Marketing and Sales professional. And now, I am a blogger! I used to be Australian, German and French (Parisian) and now a Londoner lady since February 2010. I love everything about France: the food, the wine, the fragrances, the designers, the music and our attitude, energy & character. My blog is not all about cosmetics nor fashion, is about what is happening in the world in a French perspective: how do we think? What do we think? Why do we thing like this? And what do we French think about YOU strangers from all over the world! It was my passion for arts, culture, international events & news, fashion that drove me into creating La French Attitude and I love every minute of it and I hope you too! Enjoy! Sté xxx
