Balmain has announced Balmania’s new successor: Christophe Decarnin’s deputy & unknown handsome man Olivier Rouesting.
Olivier will manage the design and development of the brand’s men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections.
Who is that man?
Olivier Rousteing completed his fashion studies at the well-known fashion school ESMOD ( École Supérieure des Arts et Techniques de la Mode) in Paris in 2003. Rousteing has worked under Decarnin at Balmain for the past three years after spending five years at Roberto Cavalli, where he designed both the women’s and men’s ranges.
Decarnin will no doubt be a challenging act to follow but hopefully, Olivier will continue with the same sexy, rock’n’roll and trendy vision that we all like in Balmain’s collections.

Now, all eyes and ears are on Dior, who will replace John Galliano? Internal promotion? Well known designer? Can’t wait to have more news…
