Naturist beaches in France!

Naturism as a philosophy of life.

To live naked, it is to live in symbiosis with oneself, our body, our environment … Such is the motto of the French naturists who promote the naturist beaches I am going to blog about tonight.

In France, you can live your naturism quite freely and safely: sea, ocean, beaches, mountain, forest, river, you will discover a wide choice of naturist stays, to live according to your needs and your feelings.

In order to make this naturist earth yours forever, the naturist villages observe that people live in the respect. Respect for the nature by knowing how to protect it, respect for the other one by knowing how to be discreet and courteous.

So, do not dream young guys, there is no way to seduce hot naked girls over there. First of all, because those places are mostly family village so yes you will find big mamas abandoned by their husband searching for adventure and fun with young personable and good-looking men. Second of all, you will be sacked immediately by the security guards over there if they find your attitude a little bit intrusive and pushy.

What is the difference between Nudism and naturist?

I always wanted to know what the difference between these 2 terms was and I discovered that the difference is really subtle and it is easy to get confused.

The nudism:  it is to be naked only in the beaches, places or in special villages.

The naturism is a philosophy and it is a question of being naked constantly.

Live your naturism

Being naturist is to know how to remain authentic …

The naturism, it is respect: be tolerant and respectful to others, but also being responsible of yourself.

The naturism is generosity: know how to share your space, your knowledge, your smile, and throw out social conventions and differences …

The naturism, it is opening: welcome others and yourself, being a good listener and practice naturism harmoniously.

The naturism, it is freedom: living your naturism in your way and at your pace, by forgetting generally accepted ideas … If you are cold or want to exercise, you can put clothes on …

Naturist beach: a regulated access from the end of March to Mid-October

I think it is a great idea because there were so many stories of children being kidnapped and/or paedophile searching for their victims on site.

So, now upon your arrival in most of the beaches, a card is delivered giving you access to naturist village. This card is delivered in exchange of any proof of photo ID (passport, identity card or driving licence).

Selection of nice naturist places

 Riva Bella Corse

One of the best places to be this summer:  Riva Bella Corse – naturism village for families (www.rivabella-inf.com )

Your campsite-village France 4 Naturism GRAND COMFORT in Corsica, where the weather is always nice, halfway between BASTIA and PORTO-VECCHIO, to 7 km north of Aléria, is classified Grand Comfort and Camp-site Quality 3 stars.

Les sables d’opale

Les sables d’opale are located in Beck sur Mer. What you have to know about Berck is that the pronunciation of this word is closed to “beurk” which means “yuk” in French. As a consequence, you will hear a lot of jokes about Berck all around France apart from Berck of course 😉

Access by boulevard de Boulogne and chemin des Anglais (authorised beach since  1981)

This naturist beach is not a village so you will have to find your own hotel around.

Berck is situated in 84 km by highway of Calais and in 229 km from the capital Paris. Situated just to the north of the estuary of the river Authie, Berck has a huge expanse of sandy beach and impressive grassy-topped dunes facing north onto the English Channel. Berck comprises two parts – to the east, the old fishing town, Berck-Ville and to the west, the seaside area, Berck-sur-Mer.

Besides, it is close to the biggest and nice sea resorts such as Le Touquet, Boulogne-sur-Mer, Calais and the Dunkerque respectively in about fifteen, fifty, sixty and hundred of kilometres.

Ploumoguer

Ploumoguer  (FINISTERE)
3 Naturist beaches between  « La plage de Trézien » and  « La pointe de Corsen ».

Ploumoguer (Breton: Ploñger) is a commune in the Finistère department in Bretagne in north-western France.

Lieu-dit La Batterie (Ile de Ré)

Ile de Ré – plage au lieu dit “la batterie” between la Couarde and le Bois. Naturalism tolerated in the part of the beach in Couarde commune.

Île de Ré is an island off the west coast of France near La Rochelle, on the northern side of the Pertuis d’Antioche strait. This island is completely flat; it is 30 km long and 5 km wide. A 2.9 km bridge, completed in 1988, connects it to La Rochelle on the mainland.

Cap d’Agde

Naked and approved!

All around France when you say to your friends “I am going on holiday in Cap D’Agde” you are automatically branded as a naturist. In fact, Cap d’Agde joins the first rank of the naturist destinations of the Mediterranean Basin; most of the beaches down there got a naturist section.

Widely opened on the sea, the naturist village benefits from a site of choice and offer of numerous benefits: 2 km of fine sand beach, security guards, rescue posts), animations in July and August (tournaments of volleyball, tennis and different games for the children) and all the comfort wanted on beaches, parasols, catering, marina and the sweetness of the Mediterranean weather.

This is it!!! You have now a couple of options if you want to try one of our natural and carefree beaches and places.

What I would like about going there is having a very ligh suitcase. What a pleasure for us ladies! Just a bit of natural make-up, toothbrush, one evening dress and that it! I like the idea but I believe I will get bored quite quickly if I stay in one of thoses villages.

This is a funny French song ” Naked and tanned” by Carlos

Have a great holidays if some of you are leaving soon.

Ghesquière & Taponier freed by Afghan Militants

The world is very happy to tell you that 2 French journalists who had been held hostage in Afghanistan for 18 months were released on Wednesday, according to the French government and the television channel that had sent them there.

France 3 television said the reporters, Stéphane Taponier and Hervé Ghesquière, had been freed along with their interpreter, Reza Din. All three men appear to be in good health. The two journalists are expected to return to France shortly.

After one of France’s longest hostage ordeals, President Nicolas Sarkozy issued a statement Wednesday afternoon thanking “everyone who participated in freeing the hostages.” He also expressed gratitude to his Afghan counterpart, Hamid Karzai, for his help in the situation.

Both seasoned war reporters, Mr. Ghesquière, 47, and Mr. Taponier, his 46-year-old cameraman, were kidnapped by Taliban militants on Dec. 30, 2009, while reporting on a story on reconstruction of a road east of Kabul. Their captors had apparently made several demands in exchange for their release, though it was unclear Wednesday what those demands had been and whether any of them had been met.

News of their release was the first public sign of them since a November 2010 video.

“For the past several hours our two French hostages in Afghanistan have been in the hands of French forces at the Tagab base,” Prime Minister François Fillon of France told legislators in Parliament on Wednesday. He said the two “are in good health and will be on French soil within hours.”

“The wind of freedom that has blown — that is blowing — on the Arab world also needs to be taken into account by hostage takers, who need to realize that this is not the right way to meet their objectives,” he said. “They must free these men and women and join the democratic debate.”

Mr. Sarkozy called Béatrice Coulon, Mr. Ghesquière’s companion, to give her the news while she was attending a rally marking the 18-month anniversary of his capture, Reuters reported. “It’s the moment that I have been waiting for so long,” Ms. Coulon told French television, Reuters reported.

Thierry Taponier said he expected to see his brother at a military airport near Paris early Thursday, television reported.

The journalists’ release comes one week after President Barack Obama announced that the United States will pull out 10,000 soldiers from Afghanistan by the end of the year and 23,000 more by September 2012. France plans to start withdrawing its own troops in the coming months and complete its withdrawal by 2014.

Paris in fire!

A fire began on Tuesday morning in the 18th “arrondissement” of Paris. It is the Vanoprix shop, in front of the internationally well-know discount store Tati, which burned.

Very important means of help were spread by fire brigades. Approximately 80 firemen were there and 2 giant ladders were deployed.

Jane Birkin et Serge Gainsbourg – Je T’aime,…Moi Non Plus

Serge Gainsbourg was a “sacré phénomene!” like we say in French. He was really one of the kinds. Even though, I was young, I remember the “Do you want to fuck with me?” question to Whitney Houston, his love relationship with minors, or him smoking in shows and some of his scandalous songs (like the one I translated below).

Let have a look to his personal life:

He was born Lucien Ginsburg in Paris, France, the son of Russian Jewish parents, Joseph Ginsburg  and Olga Bessman, who fled to France after the 1917 Russian Revolution. He had a twin sister, Liliane. His childhood was profoundly affected by the occupation of France by Nazi Germany, during which he and his family, as Jews, were forced to wear the yellow star and eventually flee Paris. Before he was 30 years old, Gainsbourg was a disillusioned painter, but earned his living as a piano player in bars.

He first married Elisabeth “Lize” Levitsky on 3 November 1951, and divorced her in 1957. He married a second time on 7 January 1964, to Françoise-Antoinette “Béatrice” Pancrazzi, with whom he had two children: a daughter named Natacha and a son, Paul (born in spring 1968, after Serge had got back together with Béatrice). They divorced in February 1966.

In late-1967, he had a short but ardent love affair with Brigitte Bardot to whom he dedicated the song and album Initials BB.

In mid-1968, Gainsbourg fell in love with the much younger English singer and actress Jane Birkin, whom he met during the shooting of the film Slogan. They married some time afterwards. In 1971 they had a daughter, the actress and singer Charlotte. Birkin left him in 1980.

Birkin remembers the beginning of her affair with Gainsbourg: he first took her to a nightclub, then to a transvestite club and afterwards to the Hilton hotel, where he passed out in a drunken stupor. Birkin left Gainsbourg when pregnant with her third daughter, Lou, by the film director Jacques Doillon, whom she later married.

His last partner was Bambou (Caroline Paulus, grandchild of General Friedrich Paulus). In 1986 they had a son, Lucien (best known as Lulu).

I have to say that it was difficult for me to find a real and close translation of “Je vais, je vais et je viens
Entre tes reins” I could have translate it as “Between your kidney” which is the literal translation or “Between your back” as I saw it in some websites. But this might sound strange for you British. As a consequence I translated it with a straightforward approach. But, it’s important to know that in French all the song is metaphoric and the “I go and I come, inside you” is said with a more delicate approach. Nothing is said like in my translation.

This song was already a scandal in this metaphoric way so imagine if it had been more straightforward. Oh la la!! Still, it was a success at this time and I really love (what I can call) this “eroticolove” song.

Lyrics:

– Je t’aime je t’aime
Oh oui je t’aime
– Moi non plus
– Oh mon amour
– Comme la vague irrésolue
Je vais, je vais et je viens
Entre tes reins
Je vais et je viens
Entre tes reins
Et je me retiens

– Je t’aime je t’aime
Oh oui je t’aime
– Moi non plus
– Oh mon amour
Tu es la vague, moi l’île nue
Tu vas, tu vas et tu viens
Entre mes reins
Tu vas et tu viens
Entre mes reins
Et je te rejoins

– Je t’aime je t’aime
Oh oui je t’aime
– Moi non plus
– Oh mon amour
– L’amour physique est sans issue
Je vais je vais et je viens
Entre tes reins
Je vais et je viens
Je me retiens
– Non ! Maintenant viens…

TRANSLATION:

I love you, I love you, Oh yes I love you
Nor do I
Oh my love
Like the wave, irresolute
I go, I go and I come, Inside you.
I go and I come, Inside you my love
And then I hold on

I love you, I love you, Oh Yes I love you
Nor do I
Oh me love, You are the wave, And I the naked island
You go, you go and you come, inside me
you go and you come inside me
and then I join you

I love you, I love you, Oh yes I love you
Nor do I
Oh my love
Like the wave, irresolute
I go, I go and I come, Inside you
I go and I come, Inside you my love
And then I hold on

You go, you go and you come, inside me
you go and you come inside me

You go, you go and you come, inside me
you go and you come inside me
and then I join you

I love you, I love you, Oh yes I love
Nor do I
Oh my love
Physical love is a dead end
I go, I go and I come, inside you
I go and I come, I hold on

No. Now…Come

Thin women earn more money than Curvy ladies!

This is aberrant, but is it surprising? Not really to be honest. When you see how some companies recruit their employees especially Cosmetics, Beauty and fashion where I come from. I am not surprised.

Uncountable international studies prove it:  women earn on average less money than men. But it seems that there are other factors of wage discrimination not really studied: the weight. According to a recent study appeared in Applied Psychology newspaper, thin women gain on average 22.000 dollars (£13,587) a year more than their overweight counterparts.

Timothy A. Judge from the University of Florida and Daniel Mr Cable from the London Business School studied the relation between the salary and the weight for men and women supporting their results on two longitudinal studies (American and German women). According to the results of their works, not only the women of middleweight earn less, but the “obese” women gain 19.000 dollars less than their counterparts of middleweight. Just scandalous!

What my frenchies think about that?

I am big and I will stay big. I am beautiful and I love myself even with a lower salary, I shall remain big!!!! People like me because I am funnier than thin ladies.

ARRETONS AVEC LES FEMMES GROSSES QUI SOI DISANT NE VOUDRAIENT PAS
CHANGER POUR TOUT L OR DU MONDE
LES OBESES SONT TOUS MALHEUREUX ET ILS SONT SOUVENT MARRANTS POUR
MASQUER TOUT CA
ALLONS LES PATRONS COMME LES HOMMES EN GENERAL PREFERENT LES MINCES
IL N Y A VRAIMENT QU UNE FEMME RONDE POUR PENSER LE CONTRAIRE ET ESSAYER D EN PERSUADER LES AUTRES

STOP WITH BIG LADIES SAYING THAT THEY WOULD NOT WANT CHANGE FOR EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD.

THE OBESE ARE EVERY MISERABLE AND THEY ARE OFTEN FUNNY TO HIDE ALL THAT

LET BE HONEST, BOSSES LIKE MEN GENERALLY PREFER SLIM LADIES

THERE IS ONLY CURVY LADIES THAT ABLE TO THINK THE OPPOSITE AND TRY TO PERSUADE THE OTHERS

The slender should gain the equivalent of their weight

(La French Attitude: I would be happy with that if we add 3 zeros to my weight ;-))

AH? La jalousie!

To be attractive and thin is a major asset. If the women begin to loathe each other for weighty problems, where are we going? On the other hand, it is good to say to her friend, been careful, with your health, you’re putting some weight or do not to fall in the anorexia. AH? The jealousy!

An attractive woman having the same background that another woman will obtain more easily an advantageous job, it is not new, it has always been like that

Un article qui sent bien la discrimation.
Source : mein kampf ?

An article which smells discrimation.

Source: mein kampf?

And then we are going to take back the same prejudices:

Blacks run faster

All the Asian do karate

Whites are fascists etc.

Pippa’s butt legend!

I was chilling on the website when I came across a chronicle from Patrick Besson for www.lepoint.fr talking about Pippa Middleton. What a surprise when I discovered the content of it. I was very surprised that some bloggers shared his point of view. I like Pippa; she seems to be a cool lady. I won’t follow her (fashion) style but I think that she looks splendid and happy.

But in France, I believe that journalists are sick and tired of seeing her in all the magazines that they are trying to break the myth in France. Let’s have a look at what it is said.

TRANSLATION:

“First things first, the thing she has over hers lips, to the right of her too wide nostrils and too short nos. Why do we call that a beauty spots? It is a spot. Teeth are commonplace. The vague eyes have bags when she smiles. When she does not smile, we don’t know, because she smiles all the time.

She is ugly. Furthermore, she is a pest. We have already said everything on the white tightened dress in which Pippa presented her butt to the whole world on Friday, April 29th, 2011. What is so particular except the fact people talked only about her hiding   the future queen of England?

Her butt is neither too curvy nor very prominent and even slightly plain. Sarah Burton, the creator of the dress for Alexander McQueen brand, would have had no pornographic idea to overlap, in the vertebral column of her customer, a row of buttons which stops just as high as her butt, nobody would have had a look on Miss Middleton. There was also the Alice Temperley emerald dress whom Pippa worn for at the wedding private party. After the zoom on the butts, the panoramic view on her boobs. She possesses a fair pair of breast, as most of the women of her age, but above it is not terrible. There are several bones too visible which augur no good to me. The whole is obviously crowned; it is the case to say it, of the flat, vulgar, empty, sluggish, insincere, eager, cold, shameful, wild, stupid, interested, immature, bitter and sad smile, that means nothing and engaging nobody “.  Maybe not you dear Monsieur Besson but some British male are even obsessed by her!

Poor Pippa, I am not sure she deserves that. And I have a beauty spot too and love it!

Stay tuned guys!

Shame on you Strauss Kahn!

Members of the hotel housekeepers’ union demonstrate outside New York City Criminal Court as the accused former head of the International Monetary Fund Dominique Strauss Kahn arrives for his arraignment on charges of sexual assault.

While American maids protest, Frenchwomen Speak Out

Claire Nini, now 25, was sexually assaulted as a teenager, and it took her seven years to file a complaint, she said, “because I feared the notoriety of my assailant, a well-known doctor in Nice.”

But the furor around the arrest in New York on attempted rape charges of Dominique Strauss-Kahn, who had been considered a likely next president of France, has given Frenchwomen and the modest feminist movement here a chance to speak out against sexual oppression and push for a less chauvinistic relationship between the sexes.

“I hope this is going to help the victims to speak,” Ms. Nini said. “If D.S.K.,” the initials by which Mr. Strauss-Kahn is known here, “is really guilty, I think this affair is going to help women,” she said. But if he is found not guilty, she said, “there is a risk that women will not be taken seriously anymore.”

Mr. Strauss-Kahn, the former chief of the International Monetary Fund, was arraigned on Monday in New York and pleaded not guilty to all charges, a four-minute event covered live by the main French television channels, Web sites and bloggers. There were experts and court drawings and shots of uniformed hotel workers shouting, “Shame on you!”

The case has also sharpened the debate here about a French way of life, one of tolerance for a male-centric attitude in gender relations, an acceptance of all but the most egregious sexual assaults on women and a reluctance by the authorities to intervene, particularly in cases involving the powerful.

“This is a key moment, a watershed moment,” said Anne-Elisabeth Moutet, an analyst of French politics and culture. Women from across the political spectrum “have extremely unpleasant stories to tell, that men think women are all up for grabs, literally and figuratively,” she said. France is “a difficult country to budge,” she added. “But it’s an important step. Women are emboldened.”

One example of the habits of the past and of possible change inspired by the Strauss-Kahn case was the forced resignation of a junior minister, Georges Tron, who was accused by two women of pressing them to have foot massages that soon evolved into groping. The women said that they were encouraged to speak out by the arrest of Mr. Strauss-Kahn.

President Nicolas Sarkozy, who has been known for his own roving eye, kept his glance on the politics of the matter, with a presidential election next year. He fired Mr. Tron within two days.

Natacha Henry, a French writer and feminist who has written books about the sexuality of young women and about domestic violence, is writing a chapter for a book about the Strauss-Kahn case, concentrating on the more discreet sexual discrimination prevalent in French life.

“Women are starting to speak out now,” Ms. Henry said. “Strauss-Kahn’s friends said he was always a womanizer, a ‘dragueur,’ but we are saying that this is not about seduction, not about ‘la drague,’ but about something else. This is not about sex, seduction, love or an equal relationship, but it is everything to do with power. A lot of attitudes that in America would be considered sexual harassment would be seen here as, ‘Oh, he’s so keen on women.’ ”

I am so busy these days dear readers that I will only translate one French comment.Ok, I’ll translate 2! 😉

“quand on voit leurs tronches et qu’on pense que les hommes qui occupent les suites de ces hôtels peuvent se payer toutes les call-girls qu’ils veulent, on commence à avoir des doutes sur la véracité des dires de leur consœur cachée…”

When we see their faces and when we think that the men occupying  the suites of these hotels can have all the call girls they want, we start having doubts on the truthfulness of the statements of their hidden colleague…

They could also demonstrate in front of Sofitel, which company can ask for a 150 mter square suite to be cleaned by a single lady! It is  exploitation or I don’t know?

So funny… Like we say in French “ils ne perdent pas le nord!” (translation: they don’t miss a trick!!)

Have fun!

Mc Solaar, Bouge de là !

Words about MC Solaar:

Claude M’Barali was born in Dakar, Senegal to parents of Chadian origin. When he was six months old his parents immigrated to France where they eventually settled in the Paris suburb of Villeneuve-Saint-Georges. He studied languages at the Jussieu university campus and was a post-graduate in philosophy. He released his first single in 1990.

Music:

In summer 1991, Solaar and his friend Jimmy Jay went in Paris in hopes of succeeding in the music industry and released his first single, Bouge de là (“Move out of My Way”). It’s very important to know that Solaar is the first rapper to be commercially known in France. He opened so many doors to the rappers and hip hop/RNB singers of today. Solaar is one of the most internationally popular and influential French rappers and his song “La Belle et le bad boy” (translate The Beauty and the bad boy) is featured in the last episode of Sex in the city showing that he is part of the French music culture.

Lyrics and Music by Jimmy Jay and Mc Solaar

Paroles:

J’ai pris mon Magnum, j’ai dû mal comprendre.

J’ai dû me camoufler, j’ai dû disparaître… Pour réapparaître.

Oh ! Oh ! Bouge de là.

Move Out of My Way, Move Out of My Way, Move Out of My Way. Move Out of My Way. Move Out of My Way

Everything has started over there, in the town which is called Maisons-Alfort
When I see a weird fatma who moves her body

She says:”Mc Solaar come over here that I give you some comfort ”
I said: ” No thanks, it is really nice from you but I don’t eat pork ”
She told me: ” Move Out of My Way, Move Out of My Way, Move out of my way”

I continue my journey and reach Lyon station when I see a bloke who claims to be as strong like a lion
He says to me:  Claude MC, do you want us to box? ”
His bruises were bigger than Samantha Fox’s breasts
He told me: ” Move out of My Way, Move out of My Way, Move out of My Way, Move Out of My Way”

My doorstep neighbour called Cassandre
She owns a little dog that she named Alexandre
She says to me: ” Claude MC can you walk him ”
(pun: the actual verb used it “to descend” in FR, “descendre”, i.e. take the dog downstairs in order to walk it, double meaning, “descendre” can also mean to kill someone)
I took my gun, I must have misunderstood
She told me: ” Move Out of My Way, Move Out of My Way, Move Out of My Way, Move Out of My Way”

Directly, I went to Lucie’s who loves dogs, cats, and “30 millions d’amis
(30 millions d’amis used to be a French TV show broadcasted on national television about pets’ lovers)
She says to me: “do you love animals, you my super MC?”
I said to her: yes I adore them, with salt and well cooked!”
She told me: “Move Out of My Way, Move Out of My Way, Move Out of My Way, Move Out of My Way, Move Out of My Way”

Later, in the metro there is a hobo wandering,
He tells me about his whole life, he tells he’s from Rennes.

Then, he says to me that he stinks, that he needs to bathe…
I say ” throw yourself in the sewer you directly reach the Seine river ”
He told me: “Move Out of My Way, Move Out of My Way, Move out of my way”

Wal-Mart loses $187.6 million worker rest appeal

You might already know it but just in case, Wal-mart doesn’t want to open stores in France. In fact, it is just because Politics have a high control on labour and (hopefully) the French government has  strong laws to protect workers; minimum wage is high, there is universal healthcare, and it is difficult to fire employees.

French book by Lysiane Baudu, Gilles Biassette

Translation: “Work more to earn less, Wal-mart threat”.

To be honest, I am happy that Wal-mart is not  in our country, I love America and Americans but I do not agree with America’s free-market capitalism and I prefer to see this in their country.

But what is known for being a French characteristic “striking” is becoming more and more common for Walmart employees. Here is an article from Fashion Mag.

A three-judge panel of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania on Friday said there was sufficient evidence for Philadelphia jurors in 2006 to conclude that Wal-Mart’s practices violated state wage and hour laws. It also said Wal-Mart’s own internal review uncovered violations regarding “off-the-clock” work.

The case was brought on behalf of about 187,000 current and former Wal-Mart workers in Pennsylvania from 1998 to 2006.

They contended that the Bentonville, Arkansas-based company’s engaged in improper practices to enhance productivity, boost profit and cut costs.

“The record reflects testimony and documentary evidence suggesting that because of pressure from the home office to reduce labour costs and the availability of significant bonuses for managers based on store profitability, Wal-Mart’s scheduling program created chronic understaffing, leading to widespread rest-break violations,” the appeals court said.

It nonetheless ordered the trial court to recalculate a $45.6 million award of legal fees, saying that court erred by “double-counting” some factors.

“We’re committed to paying our associates for every hour they work and to providing them with meal and rest breaks,” Wal-Mart spokesman Greg Rossiter said. “That’s our policy and we take it very seriously. In this case, we believe that the trial court’s decision was wrong in a number of respects and we look forward to additional review in the courts.”

The case was brought by Michelle Braun and Dolores Hummel, who had respectively worked in Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club stores in eastern Pennsylvania, and drew on evidence from roughly 46 million shifts, court records show.

Judith Spanier, one of the plaintiffs’ lawyers, said in a statement that Wal-Mart wanted to “walk away” from its own business records, saying they were so inaccurate that they could not be used as proof.

Like other large retailers, Wal-Mart is regularly sued by employees who claim unfair treatment.

The U.S. Supreme Court is expected this month to rule on whether a gender bias lawsuit against Wal-Mart may continue to proceed as a class action on behalf of a group believed to exceed 1.5 million current and former female workers.
